形態特徵

• Trees with glabrous branchlets.
• Leaves chartaceous, persistent, elliptic to oblong, 4–6.5 cm long, 1.5–3 cm wide, obtuse at apex, cuneate at base, margins entire, glabrous on both surfaces, with 6–8 arcuate inconspicuous lateral veins; petioles 3–4 mm long, scabrid.
• Male flowers 3–5 in cymes, with short glabrous peduncles; calyx glabrous, 2 mm long, deeply 4-lobed, lobes ovate, minutely ciliate outside; corolla glabrous, 4-lobed, lobes reflexed; stamens 12 in 2 series, anthers sagittate, filaments glabrous.
• Fruit globose, ca. 1.5 cm across, glabrous; seeds fuscate, compressed, ca. 4 mm long and 4 mm across, persistent calyx lobes ovate.

分布

• 台灣 : Endemic to Lanyu Is., in forests at around 250 m.
